Three-Port Signal Distribution
RF Essentials waveguide tees are precision-machined three-port junctions designed for splitting or combining millimeter-wave signals. Available in both E-plane and H-plane configurations, these tee junctions provide controlled signal distribution with predictable power division and phase characteristics.
Each waveguide tee is manufactured from OFHC copper with gold plating, covering WR sizes from WR-28 through WR-03. The tee geometry is optimized for low insertion loss and consistent performance across the full operating bandwidth.
Key Features

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a waveguide tee?+
A waveguide tee is a passive three-port device that connects three waveguide sections at a junction. It is used to split a signal from one port into two output ports, or to combine signals from two ports into one. E-plane and H-plane configurations determine the orientation and phase relationship of the split signals.
What is the difference between E-plane and H-plane tees?+
An E-plane tee (series tee) has its branch arm in the E-field plane, producing outputs that are 180 degrees out of phase. An H-plane tee (shunt tee) has its branch arm in the H-field plane, producing outputs that are in phase. The choice depends on the phase relationship required by your system design.
Can waveguide tees be used as power combiners?+
Yes. Waveguide tees are reciprocal devices, meaning they work for both signal splitting and combining. When used as a combiner, two input signals are fed into the branch arms and combined at the main port.
