V-Band
— The frequency range from 40 to 75 GHz, used in point-to-point communications, automotive radar, and scientific instruments.
VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator)
— An oscillator whose output frequency varies as a function of an applied DC control voltage, used in PLLs and frequency synthesizers.
VNA (Vector Network Analyzer)
— A precision measurement instrument that characterizes RF components by measuring complex S-parameters in both magnitude and phase.
VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio)
— A measure of impedance matching quality, defined as the ratio of maximum to minimum voltage in a standing wave pattern on a transmission line.
VHF (Very High Frequency)
— The frequency range from 30 MHz to 300 MHz, used in FM radio, television, air traffic control, and marine communications.
